October was truly a breathless month! Brimming with celebrations of various occasions, from festivals to promotions and birthdays, there was something to cheer for every day of the month, and that is a true inspiration for how life should be.
Make no mistake – we may not always have something external to cheer about. Our effort is all we have in our hands; the result is up to circumstance, but the lesson we learn is that we must learn to celebrate the little things, do our best, and not get entangled with anything. A goal, however, can guide us towards and beyond the horizons we see first with trepidation and then as we progress, with hope and zeal.
I hope you had a fantastic Diwali with friends and family. We at Healthwatch certainly did, and have big things to come, for remember, as per our vision, there can be no limit, because our dream is to touch every human life someday. We’re already advancing at a rapid pace towards this goal because just the other day, we went past 3 billion hours of ECG interpreted since our inception. We now process over 500,000 hours of ECG for over 25,000 patients every day.
These are staggering numbers and, especially medically speaking, are also greatly consequential and potentially life-changing. And so we should meet these numbers with a certain gravity and satisfaction, but also with some degree of humility, for we’ve been given the chance to serve so many people. As we navigate through life, we learn that increasingly, going beyond the self and being of use to others is the only route to satisfaction, and not everybody gets the privilege that we have.
There is much to fulfill us when we go out in pursuit of service, and many more numbers than we can crunch. Sit back and relax, as we have a hungry November!
